Documents can be stored against various records. If you see a Documents Tab you can assign a document against that record. For example Contractors, Customers and Vehicles.
Service Manager automatically stores your documents safely and securely on our cloud based servers so you don't have to worry about storing the files locally or on another storage device.
Uploading a document
- Navigate to the record that you want to store the document against. Such as an agreement
- Click the Add Document button on the documents tab and select which file you would like to upload. You can also drag/drop a file from your file browser onto the documents tab to automatically add it
- Once you have selected a file the documents details form will appear where you can enter an additional description.
- Choose the Save button. The file is then uploaded to our remote server
Amending a document
- Select the document you want to amend and click the Amend Document button
- The documents details form will appear where you can edit the notes for the document
- Choose the Save button.
Viewing a document
- Select the documents or multiple documents that you want to open
- Choose the Open Document button
- The selected documents will open in the relevant application on your PC. For example, a spreadsheet will open in Excel
Deleting a document
- Select the documents that you want to delete and click the Delete Document
- A prompt will ask you to confirm you are sure you want to delete the file
- Choose the Yes button
Emailing a document
- Select the document or multiple documents that you want to email and click the Email Document button
- The selected document/s will appear in your email client as attachments
